Identifies and collaborates with communication agencies when necessary. Manages IRENA's communication budget in accordance with internal procedures. Develops and publishes outreach and informational materials in cooperation with IRENA staff. Writes and reviews texts such as articles, editorials, speeches, and press releases for IRENA leadership and staff. Establishes IRENA's communication infrastructure, including mailing lists, media contacts, and renewable energy event calendars. Defines target audiences for IRENA's communication efforts. Plans and executes innovative communication and information campaigns, utilizing various social networking and information tools. Establishes and maintains strong relations with press, media, and stakeholders. Supervises a team of communications and digital specialists, devising and implementing the communication strategy. Represents the agency at meetings with journalists, partner organizations, international bodies, conferences, and relevant gatherings. Collaborates with Program Directors to provide communication support to IRENA's partners. Engages with journalists worldwide to promote IRENA's work and activities, building proactive relationships. Oversees the creation of materials and digital assets, including news releases, opinion pieces, social media campaigns, infographics, presentations, and web content. Develops and executes integrated communication strategies for disseminating IRENA's international work. Currently, IRENA provides support to 169 Members, which include 168 States and the European Union, as they work towards a sustainable energy future.
